How the NSWC Came to Be
The makings of the North Sound Wedding Collective began in December 2023 over a cup of coffee between three friends. The discussion evolved into a deeper acknowledgement that there was a real need for a community-driven group for other local wedding professionals. After so much hardship and uncertainty throughout 2020 + 2021, it seemed to be a common theme in conversation: Desire for community and friendship. Lack of industry networking opportunities local to the North Sound. And a yearning for professional growth and business development.
A year later, the founding group became firmly established and plans were well underway to launch the Collective. The NSWC Kickoff was hosted in February 2025 with over 80 attendees. Quarterly meetings were held throughout the year to slowly introduce and establish the vision behind NSWC. Our Charter Members secured their membership in late 2025 as the Collective became officially official.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the North Sound Wedding Collective is to foster a vibrant, collaborative community of wedding and event professionals.
Through intentional connection in the form of regular gatherings, members will share resources and expertise to better support one another, thus cultivating unforgettable and seamless experiences for couples.
Together, we will build a culture of trust, respect and creativity, where we uplift one another, grow together, and set the standard for excellence in the wedding industry.
VISION
The Collective was founded on the main desire to connect - to connect professionals with each other, and to connect couples with professionals.

We want to serve fellow wedding and event professionals in a way that encourages growth in the individual and in the business.

We also want to provide a magnificent experience for engaged couples who are planning their wedding in our region by showcasing the beauty and value of those in the North Sound wedding industry.
